Artistic Activity: gradient chalk pastels

So much of middle-school Art is focussed on contrast and gradient between dark and light, and the firm arising from the differences. I thought this was a fun way to practice.Materials:Chalk pastelsDrawing paperFound objectsRulerPencilFirst, students traced objects with their pencil on the paper.Second, students made intersecting lines across the paper.Third.
